82:4 Rescue the poor and needy!

Deliver them from the power ¹  of the wicked!

Mazmur 105:20

105:20 The king authorized his release; ² 

the ruler of nations set him free.

Mazmur 97:10

97:10 You who love the Lord, hate evil!

He protects ³  the lives of his faithful followers;

he delivers them from the power ⁴  of the wicked.

[105:20]  ² tn Heb “[the] king sent and set him free.”

[97:10]  ³ tn The participle may be verbal, though it might also be understood as substantival and appositional to “the Lord.” In this case one could translate, “Hate evil, you who love the Lord, the one who protects the lives…and delivers them.”

[97:10]  ⁴ tn Heb “hand.”
